Does Your Fluid Dispensing Equipment Need to Get With the Times?

Is your business using outdated fluid dispensing equipment? If so, you should consider making the switch to the newer technologies that are out there. Like leisure suits and disco, air-driven fluid dispensers are outdated relics from the 70’s that don’t belong in a 21st century manufacturing plant. You don’t want to be stuck in the past! Here’s more information as to why you should phase out your outdated equipment:

Timed Air Dispenser Were Developed in the 1970’s

Manufacturers of timed air dispensers that were developed in the 70’s (or “That 70’s Show” as we like to call them) have long educated their customers to make sure that the syringe filled with fluid has zero air pockets trapped in the assembly fluid and is void of any contaminants such as dirt or moisture particles. In order to achieve this, customers must either pay a premium price to a “Packager” that will professionally fill the syringe or buy syringe filling equipment to fill the syringe “air free” themselves.

Don’t Ignore the Cause of Erratic Fluid Dispensing!

However, once the customer brings the syringe to “That 70’s Show”, they shoot air contaminated with moisture and dirt particles right into the pristine syringe! A pipe running from the air compressor through the factory to the air dispenser is never going to be completely free of moisture condensation and dirt particles. These particles fill the syringe, forcing their way past the piston, and mix with the assembly fluid in turn affecting its quality. “That 70’s Show” has ignored the root cause of erratic dispensing, using air pressure to act as a drive system, and has instead spent years fighting fires.

Use Dispensers with AirFree® Technology Instead

The solution to erratic fluid dispensing is AirFree® technology which applies a gentle ramping of power to the motor from start to full speed dispensing. The ramping removes the violent slap of air pressure, protects formulators’ chemistry and assures your fluid bonds exactly as the formulator promised. In addition, the ramping allows the syringe to be filled completely as opposed to only halfway which is the case for air dispensers.

“That 70’s Show” wants you to believe that AirFree® technology is only for precise applications requiring high repeatability, complementing air dispensing. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead, AirFree® technology is replacing air-driven fluid dispensing entirely.

Technology has evolved and AirFree® technology is the solution for customers that want improved performance. There’s no reason to be stuck in the 70’s. We’ve moved on from giant console televisions, bellbottoms, and pet rocks. Isn’t it time to move away from air-driven fluid dispensing too?
