Technology is constantly changing every day. By 2020 all manufacturing facilities from multinationals to small business will have network production facilities. Devices like the iPhone, iPad, iPod, GPS, Internet, Satellite TV, and apps have had a great impact on our personal lives. In fact, it’s hard to imagine how we once lived without them. Within the next 10 years MES systems will replace MRP systems, computing will be done via the cloud, apps will be customized to meet specific manufacturing needs, and there will be worldwide standardization of manufacturing operations.
The air solenoid controlling air pressure to syringe reservoirs and valve systems was invented in the 1970’s. Our competition seems to think these antiquated products are protected by an anti-technology force field. The 21st century technology advancements surrounding these air-based products are demanding change.
The SmartDispenser® answers that demand. The SmartDispenser® is a replacement for air pressure syringe and valve systems. Outperforming air 6-10 times, Smartphone like menu systems, custom dispensing apps, and Windows 7 ultimate operating system provides the needed infrastructure for a 21st century manufacturing facility. Communicating between other manufacturing systems, MES systems, and providing real time production data over the cloud, SmartDispenser® products allow remote access and remote programming standardizing worldwide manufacturing.
The 1970’s air pressure solenoid and air compressor is replaced by the patented Linear Drive System. A precision stepper motor and lead screw attached to the syringe piston provides a high level of repeatability. The Linear Drive System has been used in major multinational production facilities over the past 12 years.
The stable Linear Drive System combined with controlled electrical current replaces air pressure allowing manufacturers to use one fluid dispense program for all dispense stations worldwide – a major improvement over air pressure systems. Air pressure’s instability requires different and constant adjustments to each dispense system.
By adding an analytical weighing sensor, the SmartDispenser® will monitor the dispense weight and send a warning message when the dispense weight is out of tolerance. The SmartDispenser® also automatically records the dispense weights. 24 hour cycles, 7 day cycles, and 28 day cycles in an Excel CSV file. The file is easily imported into Excel for performance statistical analysis of each system. Real time production data is critical for cost analysis, cross analysis of system performance and cross analysis of multiple production facilities.
Any product utilizing 1970’s technology needs to be replaced. Just like the cassette replaced the 8 track tape, CD’s replaced cassettes, and MP3’s replaced CD’s, the air free SmartDispenser® replaces the 1970’s pneumatic air pressure technology. Even fluid dispensing evolves.
