The SmartDispenser® is Fishman Corporation’s answer to the fluid dispensing problems that are caused by air pressure. It utilizes AirFree® linear-drive dispense technology to achieve the highest repeatability when dispensing assembly fluids. SmartDispenser® AirFree® technology provides users with a consistent, repeatable assembly fluid deposit worldwide which results in increased bottom line profits through higher productivity, fewer rejects, less fluid waste and lower production costs.

Regarding the breadth of the SmartDispenser® capabilities in terms of the types of fluids that can be dispensed, the SmartDispenser® dispenses the following:
Epoxies
The epoxy SmartDispenser® removes unreliable moisture-filled air from the dispensing process by replacing air pressure with a precision stepper motor and lead screw. Unlike competitive products there is no need to flush chambers or valves. Formulations stay untouched in safe, silicone-free polypropylene barrel reservoirs. The SmartDispenser’s® intelligent Epoxy dispenser system easily recognizes the barrel size, volume and the dispense rate to perform accurate, repeatable dispensing parameters unlike current air systems.
Solder Paste
Using a pneumatic system, air pressure comes into the syringe with force, slapping the paste causing the flux to separate and solder to mass on the sides of the syringe. The repeating slapping action problem is solved by the SmartDispenser® which utilizes Fishman’s proven AirFree® technology. The motor has a gentle ramping from stop to full speed which is not abusive to the solder paste formulation. The solder paste tends to stay intact for the entire syringe.
Cyanoacrylates
Medical device and other manufacturers have been attracted to cyanoacrylate, also known as “CA” or “super glue,” because of its short cure time and great bond strength. SmartDispenser® Genius® cyanoacrylate pistons and tip caps are molded from a proprietary plastic that inhibits the cyanoacrylate from bonding between these components and the syringe barrel assuring smooth piston travel and problem free storage.
