Customize your SmartDispenser^® with the Fluid Level Alarm PLC SmartApp™

This SmartApp™ was requested by a multinational manufacturer of jet engines who automated the SmartDispenser^® to apply solder paste during the manufacturing process. Once the Fluid Level Alarm PLC SmartApp™ is installed the Administrator selects the desired volume for the Fluid Level Alarm.

When the operator reaches the pre-determined limit the ALARM output is activated (no on-screen message will appear). No additional dispenses can be made using the PLC. At this point the operator has the option to continue to AUTO dispense via a finger switch until the FLUID RESERVOIR LESS THAN DISPENSE VOLUME message occurs followed by the REMOVE SYRINGE (Syringe Empty) message.

Once full lead screw retraction occurs, the settings will return to EXTEND and MANUAL to allow loading a newly filled syringe. After priming the dispense tip, return to AUTO to resume dispensing. Please note: at all times the SmartDispenser^® remains in “PLC Mode.”
