Customize your SmartDispenser^® with the LC, MT and SC Fiber Optic Connector SmartApp™

The LC, MT and SC Fiber Optic Connector SmartApp™ was requested by a Multinational fiber optic connector manufacturer who wanted to automate the LC, MT and SC Fiber Optic Connector assembly process.

Once the SmartApp™ is installed, it allows the SmartDispenser^® to monitor the time needed to fill a replacement syringe. When the syringe’s remaining production time to empty matches the time needed to fill a replacement syringe; the SmartDispenser^® notifies the operator to start the syringe filling process.

At the same time, The SmartApp™ also allows the SmartDispenser^® to monitor the cure time of the epoxy. When the epoxy cure time is expired the SmartDispenser^® sends a signal to the robot stopping production. If the epoxy cure time expires when the Connector Jig is only partially complete, the SmartDispenser^® will hold the stop production signal until the Connector Jig is 100% complete assuring all connectors in the jig are full of epoxy.

The end result is when the epoxy syringe reservoir is empty, the operator has the full replacement syringe ready, the Connector Jig is 100% complete and production downtime, due to syringe change, is only 20 to 40 seconds.
