Customize your SmartDispenser^® with the Two Component Cartridge Timer SmartApp™

This SmartApp™ was developed at the request of a multinational fiber optic connector manufacturer that utilizes the SmartDispenser^® DualDrive™ System with AirFree^® Technology to fill MT fiber optic connectors with epoxy.

The Two Component Cartridge Timer SmartApp™ stops the operator from activating the DualDrive™ dispense gun after epoxy has had time to cure in the mixer.

It allows the dispense time to be set in seconds, minutes or hours. The time set should be based on the life of the epoxy being used. The timer is automatically activated when the SmartDispenser^® DualDrive™ System delivers the first fluid deposit.

If the operator pulls the trigger after the time expires, a pop-up message appears on the SmartDispenser^® touch screen alerting the operator to change the static mixer because its contents have cured.

The main function of the Two Component Cartridge Timer SmartApp™ is to protect two component dispense guns after lengthy production breaks in which the epoxy in the static mixer has had time to harden. When the operator returns after instances such as those, the SmartApp™ will lock the SmartDispenser™ preventing activation with a cured static mixer, thus protecting the dispense gun.
