Our SmartDispenser® is a fluid dispensing system that uses AirFree® Linear Drive dispense technology to achieve the highest repeatability when dispensing assembly fluids. AirFree® technology also eliminates fluid loss, rework, rejects, and costly air compressors, thus maximizing profitability. The SmartDispenser® enables you to achieve total process control in the fluid dispensing process.
Fishman is now implementing the first significant hardware improvement to the SmartDispenser®. In the past, the SmartDispenser® relied on a high-end industrial grade 64 GB Compact Flash Card in place of a traditional hard disk drive. The CF Card has worked very well for our customers, but going forward we will begin building SmartDispenser® units with a 1.8” solid state drive.
Using a Solid-State Drive
The decision to introduce a solid-state drive was made in order to continue to provide our customers with a high-quality fluid dispensing product. Already used as a preferred drive in tablets and netbooks, the 1.8” solid state drive offers superior read and write speeds, faster boot-up capabilities, double the storage capacity and rapid, smooth deployment of software apps. It offers advanced data integrity protection and consumes less power, generates no heat, and contains no moving parts.
The SmartDispenser® fluid dispensing systems built with a 1.8” solid state drive will maintain the same build quality and component integrity as the SmartDispenser® units that were built previously. In addition, the price and warranty will remain the same.
