Customize your SmartDispenser^® with the Barcode Scanning – Raw Material Verification SmartApp™

Once the Barcode Scanning – Raw Material Verification SmartApp™ is installed, the Administrator can activate the SmartApp™ allowing the operator to scan a finished product part number and its associated raw material part numbers to make sure all raw material parts selected for assembly are correct. The SmartApp™ prevents the operator from selecting the wrong raw material part for a finished assembly assuring 100% quality acceptance. The SmartApp™ also documents that proper parts were selected and, if any, the number of incorrect selections made by the operator. This provides excellent data for quality assurance documentation and performance reviews.

Operation Sequence:

• Operator scans a finished product barcode.
• SmartDispenser^® finds machine name and finished product barcode number in database.
• SmartDispenser^® queries the operator to scan first raw material barcode.
• SmartDispenser^® searches associated raw material barcode numbers in database looking for a match.
• If raw material part numbers match, SmartDispenser^® queries for the next raw material barcode.
• If raw material part numbers do not match, SmartDispenser^® sends a wrong raw material part message via pop-up to the touch screen. The message is cleared with login password.
• The process repeats until the SmartDispenser^® informs the operator all raw materials have been scanned.

Device History Record Automatically Recorded in an Excel CSV file every 24 hours:

• The production run date is posted.
• The production run time is posted.
• The finished product barcode number is recorded.
• The associated raw material barcode numbers are recorded.
• Any wrong selection barcode numbers are recorded.
• Excel CSV file is created daily.
• Excel CSV file can be automatically emailed from the SmartDispenser^® to the Production Manager daily.
